January in our kindergarten was full of many exceptional events and joyful moments. This month was marked by creative activities, developing games, and interesting unusual holidays, which provided the kindergarteners with unforgettable experiences.
International Shirt Day
We started by celebrating International Shirt Day, where children had the opportunity to become little fashion designers. Each child created their own unique shirt, using a variety of materials and colors. These activities not only stimulated creativity but also improved fine motor skills and precision of movements.

Winnie the Pooh Day
Then we moved to the world of fairy tales, celebrating Winnie the Pooh Day. Preschoolers watched the fairy tale “Winnie the Pooh and the Goblin Killers” and took part in movement games inspired by the adventures of the characters from the Hundred Acre Wood. The children drew cards with tasks – they jumped like Tigger, stood on one leg like Piglet, and licked their lips like Winnie the Pooh after honey.

Popcorn Day
There was also no shortage of tasty experiences during Popcorn Day. Children had the opportunity not only to munch on delicious popcorn but also to use it in art work, creating interesting compositions. Such activities improved fine motor skills, stimulated imagination, and provided sensory experiences.
Squirrel Day
Squirrel Day was an equally exciting event. Preschoolers learned about the habits of these clever animals and also stuck balls of tissue paper onto their fluffy tails and cut out squirrel silhouettes, practicing patience and manual skills. There were also conversations about nature and the role of squirrels in the forest ecosystem.
Grandparents’ Day
A special moment in January was the celebration of Grandparents’ Day. The Gąsek Group prepared a moving performance in which the children expressed their love and gratitude towards their beloved grandparents. After the performance, the preschoolers presented handmade gifts, and everyone sat down to a shared meal in a warm, family atmosphere.

Puzzle Day
Among the interesting initiatives, there was a day dedicated to puzzles. First, the children cut out and put together their own puzzles, and then they tackled ready-made sets. Putting together a puzzle is not only great fun but also an excellent exercise in concentration, observation, and logical thinking.
Project “Playing with the Senses” – Tasty Sensory
In addition, there was also another task within the project “Playing with the Senses”. This time the topic was “Tasty Sensory” – children had the opportunity to cut fruit themselves, discover their texture, smell, and taste, and also experiment with jelly.

Thanks to these various activities, preschoolers developed their creativity, fine and gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and logical thinking. There was also no shortage of integration, teamwork, and the joy of playing together. Every day in our preschool is an opportunity to learn through experience, and January was full of positive emotions and unforgettable moments!
